m3u Generator

DO NOT PAY FOR A STREAMING MEDIA SERVER. Unless you want to try to sell music subscriptions or impose some serious limits on what your visitors listen to, there is almost no reason to pay for what you can do for free.

To stream media, you simply need an m3u file. This wonderfully simple file is nothing more than a list of URLs to load. Almost all modern media players will recognize it's mime type, which is audio/x-mpegurl, even though it isn't registered with IANA.

Drop this php file in your music folder and make it accessible from a web server. Then just load the file in your browser. If it works, your favorite media player will take over and give you some tunes.

This is not a supported application. It is a piece of source code that you are responsible for retrofitting into your machine. I make no guarantees that it will work. It is tested on php 5.1+ with Apache2+.
